Pound cake ingredients

  • ° A cup and three quarters of a cup of flour
  • ° 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ° 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ° 1 cup butter at room temperature
  • ° 1 cup caster sugar
  • ° 4 eggs at room temperature
  • ° 1 teaspoon vanilla zest, lemon or orange

 

Preparation method

  1. Pound cake Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, move the oven rack to the middle, grease a 23×13 pan with butter and flour and leave it aside in a medium bowl.
  2. Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder in an electric mixer.
  3. Beat the butter until it becomes like cream, add sugar and continue whisking until you get a creamy mixture.
  4. Add one egg. Mix well after each addition, add vanilla, flour and orange zest and mix well. Pour the cake mixture into the pan and equalize the spoon.
  5. Bake in the oven for 55 minutes or until the cake is completely cooked.
  6. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down a little, then turn the pan and leave it to cool completely before slicing.
