- ° 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ° 1/2 teaspoon salt
- ° 1 cup butter at room temperature
- ° 1 cup caster sugar
- ° 4 eggs at room temperature
- ° 1 teaspoon vanilla zest, lemon or orange
- Pound cake Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, move the oven rack to the middle, grease a 23×13 pan with butter and flour and leave it aside in a medium bowl.
- Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder in an electric mixer.
- Beat the butter until it becomes like cream, add sugar and continue whisking until you get a creamy mixture.

- Bake in the oven for 55 minutes or until the cake is completely cooked.
- Take it out of the oven and let it cool down a little, then turn the pan and leave it to cool completely before slicing.
