EASY POOR MAN’S APPLE COBBLER RECIPE

by Friend Recipes

The easiest cobbler that you can make in less than an hour is called Poor Apple Cobbler. This delicious fall dessert only requires six pantry staples to impress your guests. For a quick dessert with a gorgeous golden crust and lots of pie filling, just add vanilla ice cream on top.

It has a beautiful golden brown crust when taken out of the oven. Feel free to use any fruit. A cherry or blueberry would also be a great alternative to the apple we chose. If you like to eat a lot of fruit, you can add another can of filling to the cobbler. They will adore every bite of this delicious apple cobbler, I am sure of it.

WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE NEEDED FOR THIS MEAL?

  • One cup of sugar
  • Self-rising flour, 1 cup
  • One can of apple, cherry, or peach filling or fresh fruit
  • One stick of unsalted butter
  • A cup of milk
  • Vanilla extract, 1 tsp

TIPS FOR MAKING POOR MAN’S APPLE COBBLER

Prepare the oven. Set the oven to 350 degrees.

Melt the butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish, or better yet, in a glass. Then add milk, vanilla, sugar, and flour. Make sure the butter is not mixed with the ingredients. Simply place them in the butter.

Put a teaspoon of the fruit of your choice in different places.

After placing in the preheated oven, bake for about 45 minutes. A crust will form on the entire surface of the apples.

When done, remove the food from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy!

IS IT BETTER TO OFFER THE COBBLER COLD OR WARM?

Warm: Cobbler is great when served warm with the cool and creamy contrast of whipped cream or ice cream, but that is more of a personal rule of thumb.

HOW LONG DO COBBLERS LAST?

Yes, unused peach cobbler should be wrapped and refrigerated. It will prevent the crumb from getting too soggy. It stays fresh in the fridge for two to three days.

HOW DOES A COBBLER REHEAT UP?

Remove the cobbler from the fridge or freezer and place it on an oven-safe dish. After reaching the temperature, place the cobbler on the center rack of the oven. Heat for 10 to 15 minutes for individual serving sizes. Heat the cobbler completely for 30 to 45 minutes.
