Easy Cream Cheese Peach Pie Delight Recipe

by Friend Recipes

Creamy Peach Pie Delight is a delightfully easy dessert that is perfect for entertaining. Just a few ingredients come together to create a fantastically delicious fruity treat. We make our own cake mix, but you can use store-bought mix instead. However, fresh peaches are one of the earth’s most wonderful gifts, and they taste fantastic in this dish.

We replaced the top gelatin layer with a thick layer of macerated peach with a rich peach flavor. A baked graham cracker crust was also used under the light and fluffy cheese filling. These peaches and cream squares are a crowd-pleaser.

ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING CREAM CHEESE PEACH PIE DELIGHT

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 13×9 pan with cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, one egg, and cake mix, then beat until thoroughly combined. Set aside 1 1/2 cups of the crumbs.

Spread the remaining crumbs evenly on the bottom of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F.

Cut the peach into slices. (1 inch for each ingredient.) I use canned peaches because they are easy to bake and take less time than fresh peaches. Scoop the mixture into the half-baked crust.

In a large bowl, whisk together one egg, vanilla extract, cream cheese, and sugar. Whisk until well combined.

Spread the mixture on top of the peach.

Sprinkle the reserved 1 1/2 cups of crumbs over the top layer.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until completely chilled. Then serve!

Put the leftovers in the fridge.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR THIS DISH:

  • 1 package dry cake mix (white or yellow)
  • 1/3 cup room temperature butter
  • Two large eggs split
  • Dry 8 ounces room temperature cream cheese
  • 29-ounce can of peach slices
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

CAN I SUBSTITUTE OTHER FRUITS FOR PEACHES?

Yes! This recipe can easily be adapted to a variety of fresh fruits such as berries or even bananas.

CAN I USE CANNED OR FROZEN PEACHES?

I have always used only fresh peaches in this recipe, but others have used frozen or canned peaches. My recommendation is to thaw frozen peaches and dry them. Drain and dry the canned peaches as well (too much liquid will ruin the dessert).

CAN I USE LIGHT CREAM CHEESE INSTEAD?

Light cream cheese will make the layers of cream filling runnier, but if you do not mind, you can use it instead of full-fat cream cheese.
