  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


  • Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta is cooking, season the raw shrimp with Cajun seasoning, tossing to coat evenly.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. When the butter has melted and the pan is hot, add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are pink and cooked through.
